Ready for an adventure in downtown Somersworth, NH and Berwick, ME? Join us for the Salmon Falls Success Safari, a guided, walking tour where you’ll explore recent efforts to protect your drinking water source – the Salmon Falls River.
It’s all about exploring the success stories of our source water collaborative and sharing your experiences to inform the Salmon Falls River Watershed Management Plan. The Salmon Falls Watershed Collaborative coordinates long-term source water protection efforts among planning commissions, land trusts, watershed associations, non-profits, water systems, and town, state and federal agencies in New Hampshire and Maine.

• 9:30 am – Welcome and Overview (meet at Somersworth City Hall, 1 Government Way – park along Main Street or Somersworth Shopping Center Plaza)
• 10:00 am – 11:00 am – Downtown Site Walk of Somersworth, NH
1st stop – 8 Government Way adjacent to City Hall
2nd stop – 22 Green Street – 128 new housing development
3rd stop – Constitutional Way – public stormwater infrastructure project
• 11:15 am – 12:15 pm – Walk to Great Falls Park in Berwick, ME
1st stop – Eddy Bridge on Route 9 (Rochester St.) overlooking the Salmon Falls River
2nd stop – Great Falls Park borded by Moulton St. and Saw Mill Hill
• 12:15 pm – 12:30 pm – Walk back to Somersworth City Hall
• 12:30 pm – 1:15 pm – Lunch (compliments of Maine Water)
• 1:15 pm – 3:00 pm – Presentations and Discussion
