In this Southeast and Seacoast series, there will be no assumptions and no judgement! Learn the very basics like trail etiquite, using a map, and what goes in the pack, and explore different outdoor hobbies like bird appreciating (birding for beginners), and foraging (what is and is not a snack) in protected forests along Sagamore Creek and the Oyster River!
Seacoast Eat Local operates summer farmers’ markets in four locations in the Seacoast region of New Hampshire: Portsmouth, Exeter, Dover, and Durham. The markets are made up of a variety of different vendors who sell fruit, vegetables, meat, seafood, eggs, honey, maple syrup, baked goods, value-added foods, hot prepared food, crafts, and body care products. All of our vendors make, grow, harvest, catch, or craft 100% of the products they sell at the market. We also have musicians, nonprofits, and other guests to help make the markets fun, community-oriented, and engaging.

Come observe a diverse forest in transition, guided by a Forest Society educator. Those awesome colors are a signal that the entire forest and all that live within it are moving energy around. Come and observe that flow - from trees hunkering down for winter to wildlife on the move, there is much to explore packed into an even, 2 mile trail by Oyster River.
