Come be a part of the science!!! BioBlitz is Seacoast Science Center's annual dawn-to-dusk biological survey of Odiorne Point State Park. Families and nature enthusiasts team up with SSC naturalists and guest experts to explore the Park’s habitats to find and identify as many different species as possible in just one day! BioBlitz is a great way to get kids (and adults!) excited about science, learn about biodiversity, and discover how you can help protect our natural world.
Seacoast Science Center will host its 24th annual BioBlitz on Sunday, September 20, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Odiorne Point State Park in Rye. The day-long community science event brings scientists, naturalists, students, families and nature enthusiasts together to explore the park and document as many species as possible.

National Estuaries Week, a time to celebrate the importance of estuaries and all they give to us, is just around the corner, and we have a fun week planned. Don't Trash Dover (DTD) is a volunteer community group dedicated to keeping Dover clean through organized monthly litter walks.
Each month, year-round, DTD hosts a one-hour volunteer litter collection walk open to anyone who wishes to participate. Departure locations vary by month.
The “Fall Paddle” returns for a eighth year! The Exeter River is a town treasure running through the middle of Brentwood. A pristine river with an abundance of wildlife, much of the land along the river has been conserved, resulting in very little development along its shores and a very natural experience. Whether you are a frequent paddler on the river, or have never been out on it, we hope you will consider joining in.
To protect the places we love, Seacoast Paddleboard Club (SPC) adopted Pirates Cove Beach in Rye, New Hampshire through Blue Ocean Society’s Adopt-a-beach program in the Spring of 2017. Through this partnership, SPC ambassadors host year-round community beach cleanups on the last Sunday of every month. These cleanups are open to the public, and students can earn volunteer credits for service hours.

Come observe a diverse forest in transition, guided by a Forest Society educator. Those awesome colors are a signal that the entire forest and all that live within it are moving energy around. Come and observe that flow - from trees hunkering down for winter to wildlife on the move, there is much to explore packed into an even, 2 mile trail by Oyster River.
This extremely popular celebration of the outdoors has quickly rocketed up the charts as one of the premiere family events in the area. TrailFest is a free event for the community, held at the 237-acre Burley Farms, SELT’s net-zero campus in Epping. In 2025, we welcomed over 1,200 children, adults, vendors, and volunteers! Join the fun in 2026!
The Great Bay 5K is excited to hold its 28th annual race in 2026! The GB5K is the final race in the popular Seacoast Road Race Series and supports the non-profit Great Bay Stewards. The course passes the shores of Great Bay, and is a fun, fast, scenic, and mostly downhill event.
